Ramen Noodles: Missing in Action

It feels as though we have all been there; it’s a college night around dinner time, and the fridge is empty.  Where did we turn? Ramen noodles. Maria Baker from freightwaves.com wrote an article about everyone’s go to low-budget meal, and she reports the not so satisfactory fact that a bunch, rather an oodle, of noodles has gone missing.

According to her facts, the noodle heist took place in Fayettevile, Georgia, and the ramen thief made off with $98,000 worth of the noodle packets--that clocks in at about 350,000 packages.

That is a lot of college students going hungry this semester. On a serious note, that is a significant amount of freight gone missing. The driver had left it at a gas station in the area, something that many drivers have done before, and the location was unable provide any telling information as to who took the cargo.

As of now, we still do not have the information necessary to locate all of the ramen that vanished seemingly into thin air--trailer and all.  There have been some information tid-bits, but none solid enough to lead the owner to his rig filled with the dependable, quick dinner.
